LVPV provides participating libraries with tools to recruit tutors and properly match tutors with students. Tutors are trained and supported by a certified Literacy Volunteers trainer, free of charge. LVPV tutoring conveniently takes place in any affiliated library. LVPV offers participating libraries:
- Tutor Training Workshops throughout the year, taught by certified trainers
- Group language and conversation classes for their community
- Access to a core collection of ESL materials, weekly and monthly newspapers appropriate for tutors and students
- Tools for members to recruit volunteer tutors to be trained and supported by LVPV staff
- Training and tools for members to easily manage their own ESL program
- Ongoing support for Tutors, including scheduled Tutor Roundtables
- Statistical data collection and program marketing support
