Literacy Volunteers of Pascack Valley offers training sessions and workshops for tutors and educational events for students throughout the year! Explore our events below and reach out if you are interested in registering.
Student Conversation Classes
When: Thursday Evenings
Where: Westwood Public Library
Description: Join us for a casual conversation class on Thursday Evenings. Best suited for intermediate to advanced intermediate level students. For more information and to register, please email us here. Students must live or work in a town with a participating library.

Where: Westwood Public Library
Description: Spring ESL Classes
Spring classes are now open for registration. The schedule is as follows :
Beginner: In-Person Monday 5:30 - 6:45 PM
Intermediate: In-Person Monday 7:15 - 8:30 PM
Advanced - Online Tuesday 9:00 - 10:30 AM
Intermediate - Online Tuesday 11:00 - 12:30 PM
Intermediate - Online Wednesday 7:00 - 8:30 PM
Classes end the week of July 13, 2026
Open to all students from member libraries.
Students must be registered to attend, please email us here to register.

ESL Tutor Training

Where: Online via Zoom
Our next ESL Tutor Training Workshop Session will be held in August 2026 in the evening.
Participants must be 18.

ESL Tutor Roundtable
When: Thursday Evenings
Where: Westwood Public Library
Our next In Person and Virtual Tutor Roundtable Sessions will be held in September 2026.
This is a great place for ESL tutors to come and share information and ideas.
Must be a LVPV Tutor to attend.
